Electro-Acpuncture

This is a very gentle micro-current that is sent through the needles as a means of stimulating acupuncture points. The level of the micro-current is adjusted by 0.1 of a decimal allowing for a very slow and gentle increase in stimulation. Two needles are used at a time so that the impulses can pass from one needle to the other. Several pairs of needles can be stimulated simultaneously, usually for no more than 30 minutes.

Nicole works with her patients to establish the level of micro-current sent through the needles that meets the comfort levels of the patient. The treatment is not painful and includes a variety of sensations such as muscle twitches, tingling or the feeling of being tapped. 

Micro-current Stimulation is useful in treating:

• Chronic pain and releasing muscular tension

• Increasing levels of analgesia

• Improving tissue repair and healing time

• Promoting regeneration of nerve fibers

Electro-Acupuncture is a tool used to supplement and amplify the results of an Acupuncture treatment.
